Hi,

I just bought the Acer Liquid S100 in India.

It came with Android 2.1

The details are :-

Model Number - Liquid

Firmware - 1.6

Baseband - A1-02.01.03

Kernel - 2.6.29

Build Number - Acer_liquid_2.000.31_AAP_GEN2

I want to flash it to Android 2.1 , I downloaded the 2.1 from US site

but it is not updating my phone to 2.1.

Can you please help me out with the links and tools needed to

flash it to 2.1.

Also please give me the link to official 2.1 if possible along with a short

tutorial as to how to do it.

Thx in advance.

Yeah it won't let you update that way because you have an AAP device. (AAP=Asia/Asia Pacific. EMEA=Europe/Middle East/Australia).

Try this one- http://global-download.acer.com/Step5.aspx...AAP_6&LC=en

If that does not work, download this bin file- http://u.115.com/file/t3cb1dd51c (there should be a .bin file in the .rar download)

And follow the first half of these instructions- http://code.google.com/p/acer-liquid-commu...uidCommunityROM (that link contains all drivers and tools required to flash this bin, I recommend this bin because it is more stable and has a higher baseband version. This particular way of flashing allows you to put either AAP or EMEA roms onto your Liquid, no problem)

-You will get an md5 fail type error, ignore that.

-Also if something goes wrong during this process, do not turn off the phone. While it says do not unplug, it is possible to unplug and plug it back in (there will be moments where the download tool may say "not connected", ignore that unless it is like that for a really long time). There should not be any problems, I have done this several times and it has always gone smoothly as have a very high majority of people here.
