Does the device memory gets used when u select "My Storage"?

I've installed my garmin mobile xt to My Storage, but i also noticed my "device" memory drop by 8mb.

is this normal? can i avoid the usage of device memory?

I have also installed Garmin, and some portion of the SW have benn installed on the Programm Memory, so ~8MB. not very nice, but I haven't found any solution to avoid, this.

I believe it is a Windows feature, that some pieces of the SW will always in stalled in the "main memory", but it could also be the installer app of the Software, so don't want to blame Windows ahead

It's how Windows Mobile operates, which isn't different than the desktop version of Windows. Certain things need to be on the system drive (.dll files, etc).
