Guest nap_rz Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 swype, spb keyboard, resco keyboard, xperia x2 keyboard etc all have the same disadvantage, none of them have d-pad is there any other keyboard that have d-pad out there? I know about ezinput or such but I heard it can make O2 bricked, so I'm affraid I don't want to risk my O2 with it.

Guest silvos3189 Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 swype DOES have a d-pad it's in the symbols section but if you want it outside with the characters go try fingerkeyboard

Guest surgex Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 Yes.. Yeah I thought it was very strange theres no haptic feedback with the samsung keyboard. There is on a lot of their other devices.
Guest Tarqon Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 (edited) Yeah I thought it was very strange theres no haptic feedback with the samsung keyboard. There is on a lot of their other devices. There is haptic feedback with the samsung keyboard. (roughly translated from Dutch) Go to settings -> sound -> signal on touch -> set signal to vibrate. (if you don't want haptic feedback all the time you can set it to inputs-only using the first option, I have not tested this and am unsure of how well it works however) You're probably used to haptic feedback being implemented within the keyboard itself, but on O2 it's implemented system-wide. Guest nap_rz Posted December 13, 2009 Report Posted December 13, 2009 speaking of ezinput, is there a newer version of it that 100% compatible with O2?
Guest zm. Posted December 13, 2009 Report Posted December 13, 2009 touchpal is a nice keyboard input with d-pad.
Guest silvos3189 Posted December 13, 2009 Report Posted December 13, 2009 lol... no one was speaking of ezinput o.O everyone was talking about fingerkeyboard... but anyway nah not that I know of last time i checked which WAS a while ago... Ezinput dind't work
Guest nap_rz Posted December 13, 2009 Report Posted December 13, 2009 uh yeah actually I mentioned ezinput at the begining ;) so between touchpal and fingerkeyboard, which one is generally better?
Guest tacchan23 Posted December 13, 2009 Report Posted December 13, 2009 so between touchpal and fingerkeyboard, which one is generally better? The only positive side of fingerkeyboard is having the d-pad arrows along with the keyboard. On TOuchpal you have a separate TAB for d-pad and editing. The main negative side of fingerkeyboard is not having T9.

Guest tacchan23 Posted December 13, 2009 Report Posted December 13, 2009 fingerkeyboard 2.1 got t9 if you install xt9 2.0 ah yes, I tried it as suggested in another topic (I think ezinput topic) but it didn't work for me, guess I did something wrong^^
Guest Tylwith Posted December 13, 2009 Report Posted December 13, 2009 ezinput 1.5 is working perfectly on o2 using cab version
Guest Tylwith Posted December 13, 2009 Report Posted December 13, 2009 ah yes, I tried it as suggested in another topic (I think ezinput topic) but it didn't work for me, guess I did something wrong^^ try to install xt9 2.0, hd keyboard reboot then fingerkeyboard
Guest nap_rz Posted December 13, 2009 Report Posted December 13, 2009 just tried fingerkeyboard, it is quite good, but honestly a bit too small even for someone with small fingers like me ;)
