hi guys, wanna ask if there is any singtel omnia 2 users. wanna ask abt the broadband on mobile. is it that we will be using to connect using idea wap?

yupyup! in fact i think there's a afew ideas email, ideas internet and some others...so far i just put connect automatically and so far so good...What's ur concern? ;)

oohh.. i wanna do a cfm that when i connect using ideas wap, am i already using my broadband on mobile ? or do i need to config something else?

for me i don't have ides internet setup but looking at the setting ideas email and ideas internet is the same.

ideas wap seems to have a different gateway and seems a bit slower.

i don't think singtel is making any difference in terms of dataplan.

hmm i connected to ideas wap (hsdpa).. that's the auto connect whenever i go online

yea! I think it's the same too! So shld be fine...Has been using for a couple of months and they definitely do not differentiate between ideas email and the others... in fact thank god they dun do tt! ;)

hmm the KIT.. will need some advise on u.. do u know how to enable the ideas setting so that live messenger can connect in using internet? till now i still cant connect live messenger in with internet access

Hey alvin...

Sorry for the late reply...hmmm...i didn't much settings to get my Windows Live running lehz...I noe I had probs when my browser wasn't set to auto detect...mayb u can try Settings>Connections>Browser Connections and 'on' the auto detect settings..

Bro,

I agreed with the_KIT, you don't have to do anything on Omnia-2 to connect Singtel mobile broadband.

All you need to do was slot in a Singtel SIM card into Omnia-2 and it will promt you do you want to auto configure internet access (can't remember actual the msg).

Everytime you hard reset Omnia-2, it will prompt you, answer yes to it will auto configure Singtel broadband settings.

The manually way was go to, Settings> Network Settings > Operator Settings,

at "select Operator to "Singtel" will re-configure the WAP/MMS/Internet connection settings to Singtel broadband, and then click Done.

oh ok.. thanks guys.. however i still got problem accessing msn messenger using mobile broadband..
