Guest silvoren Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 spb mobile covers cube launcher
Guest scymbaluk Posted December 13, 2009 Report Posted December 13, 2009 spb mobile covers cube launcher What I did was go into the windows folder where you can find cube.exe. Copy a shortcut of that into windows start menu and now it will show up in the start menu. Now you can launch it from there or use mobile shell and place a shortcut on the screen.
Guest silvos3189 Posted December 13, 2009 Report Posted December 13, 2009 i just press and hold the "ok" button and it launches the cube
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted December 13, 2009 Report Posted December 13, 2009 "ok" button is the cube shaped button on the i8000 (middle button at the bottom of the screen). With a long press by default it launches the cube application but can be re-allocated to another button in the settings menu. Or as above you can create a shortcut on the screen. I found cube to be a bit of a waste and not really of any use apart from looking nice. That novelty wore off quite quickly though and now I have the button allocated to the task manager instead.
Guest silvos3189 Posted December 13, 2009 Report Posted December 13, 2009 wait wait... wasn't the cube looking button the main menu and task switcher button? how come my OK button is the button directly next to the camera button?
Guest najmi85 Posted December 14, 2009 Report Posted December 14, 2009 wait wait... wasn't the cube looking button the main menu and task switcher button? how come my OK button is the button directly next to the camera button? what do you mean is the button next to your camera? rite? it is the shortcut button that is defined by the Samsung settings.. here's the tip- NOTE: i'm currently using windows mobile 6.1 for my phone.. STEP 1: press the cube button -> you will then go to the main menu STEP 2: from the main menu, go to Settings STEP 3: then, go to General Settings -> Button -> Assign A Program STEP 4: from there, you then can change the Button2 button to something else (e.g. cube? ;) ) and then you can access the Cube from the SPB shell (directly) hope this help
Guest silvos3189 Posted December 14, 2009 Report Posted December 14, 2009 I think you've misunderstood me. I was trying to ask isn't the button next to the camera button called the OK button. Because that's the button I was talking about but awarner was saying the OK button is the cube looking button in the middle on the bottom. Also I was going by default settings so unless silvoren changed something... isn't holding down the OK button (the button directly next to button you press to take pictures) the button to launch the cube?

Guest iWiNMo Posted December 14, 2009 Report Posted December 14, 2009 (edited) "ok" button is the cube shaped button on the i8000 (middle button at the bottom of the screen). I barely even touch it! Same goes to most hardware keys as well! I'd like touch-n-execute things! Way feels better! ;) Regarding the matter; Samsung settings> Basic Settings> General Settings> Button> Assign a Program> there you go Edited December 14, 2009 by iWiNMo
Guest skinnypupp Posted December 14, 2009 Report Posted December 14, 2009 Why the hell would you want to use the cube? lol
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted December 15, 2009 Report Posted December 15, 2009 The "ok" button has always been associated with the D-pad button on Windows Mobile devices (Smartphone non touch screen used both a soft key and d-pad) As the Omnia does not have a D-pad this has been replaced with a single button and in the menu system this is Button1. I looked at the GTi8000 manual and it shows the side button as the launcher for the cube which is strange as on mine it was definitely the central cube shaped button which makes more sense as being cube shapped you would expect it to launch the cube app. Then again when does Samsung think about common sense lol.
