May i know which offical rom are you using, currently so far i am using L2 and the Xtra feature for gps is still there. The offical J9 rom version also had the Xtra feature. If there is the Xtra feature, it will be found under Samsung menu setting, then general settings, then GPS, then u will see Xtra feature.

I think you choose the wrong CSC option. When I first freshed to Il2, and the Orange logo was on. No auto detect the networks. it default to Orange. After reading in IL2 topic, from the CSC file select option, choose I8000XEUIL2.csc. Refreshed again and all worked.

yea, same here. I have updated via npc. exacly same pda,eboot etc. operator is turkcell also. if select turkcell-isp and leave blank the other, it fills :7275. I am not sure what is it, and if it is working,

the other choices are

turkcell-mms

turkcell-gprs

Mobil TV

turkcell-isp

I am not using gps for now so I havent tried any of them

Problem is that I'm using an unlocked i8000.

The original carrier setting obviously won't work, the the setting I found on google for my current carrier doesn't seem to work either.....

Is there any other solution???

maybe can use this server : test.agps.com:7275

btw, we still can use xtra while there is agps in the menu

go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Samsung\RIL\GPS\XTRA]

all xtra configuration are there.

same prob here with my omnia i8000. i just upgraded all europe rom and now i didnt found Xtra menu in gps settings, newly a-gps menu is there. now, how can i bring Xtra features here through registry tweaks or any menas....appreciated ur help.

I have searched before about A-GPS and found a cab file to activate it. I'm living in Turkey and the name of this cab is Orange a-gps. Instead of Orange operator is not placed in my country, it's working for me. At the time of launching IGO Amigo GPS software, it's connecting to an IP address and getting satellite information then fixing in several seconds.

You can try attached cab file. Just activate a-gps without putting ip address and set attached file up.
