Anyway to unable touchwiz?

Hi,

I've just bought Omnia II and it's very cool, but i'd like to unable touchwiz 2.0 to see windows mobile exactly how it is, can be possible in Oficial rom 6.5 from Singapur? Its the PDA: I8000NXXIJ9, CSC:I8000XSOIJ2 PHONE: I8000DXIJ1

And another question, what ROM do you recomend to flash it? I'm from spain, so i'd like to have it in spanish.

If you are planing to get rid of it totally, try a cooked ROM (i.e. RDF's Ultra-Lite, search the MoDaCo for it) because in a original ROM, you may disable it only, however I didn't get what did you mean by "it apears whenever you try to reconfigure it/entering configuration (page)"!?

I think you cannot disable TouchWiz in 6.5 (Singapore version). In 6.1, under General Settings, there is a link for us to disable TouchWiz but in 6.5 this link is not there.

You mean "TouchWiz" the one activated whenever you press the center Gemstone button right?

Simple, go to Settings > General Settings > Button > Assign a program,

re-assign "Button1" to another program example, "Start Menu", instead of the original "MainMenu". Done!

Cool! Thanks. I am not sure that is what was asked? My interpretation (and what I wanted) was to disable the TouchWiz and get back the "urgly" standard WinMo Start Menu like this one in the YouTube.

I'm a Singaporean with Singapore version Omnia-II WM6.5,

So with all rul3s info provided lead me to think that he was exactly wanted to unable (dissable) the Touch Wiz 2.0 in WM6.5 system.

The youtube video you'd provided was a Omnia-II with old WM6.1 system and the old way to disable Touch Wiz 2.0.

The new way od get rid of TW2 was the one I'd provided.

I guess you're talking about the settings screen, not just the TouchWiz. Samsung has customised the settings using their own customised screen, and for some functions (e.g. XTRA, USB mode) there is no standard WM6.5 screen for it. So to put it simple, you must put up with Samsung's customisation for the moment, unless someone is brave enough to make a customised rom with their own version of the settings screen, which I doubt anyone will do it.

The only way to access the core settings menus etc would be to install a third party application, this would still not remove what Samsung has done as that is part of the ROM.
