Mine is barely 5MB, what have you selected in Step2 of your backing up process? You may un-check some of them (in Step 3) during restore process to see if let you to finish the backed-up file restoration.

Did you even pay attention to the error message that Samsung has issued for you ( I've highlighted it in RED for you), remove (either DELETE or transfer to your PC) some of existing fat and heavy-in-size file/s from your "MyStorage" in order to replace it with the previous backedUp files! It's like you have a 1-TeraBytes HardDisk and planing to fill it with 1.5-TeraBytes of data!

Now it's completely a different story! I haven't encountered such issue so far but here is what I would have done if I were in your shoes! Just as trial and error! install few applications, take few pictures and add few videos on your "MyStorage" then try to back-up your system again using NPS and save it somewhere in your PC, let's say your Desktop (\desktop\GT-I8000 (XXX-XXXX-XXXX)_20091216.wbu) Now go to the location that you have placed copy of your old back up (i.e. D:\BackUp\GT-I8000 (XXX-XXXX-XXXX)_20091205.wbu), make an additional copy of it for this experiment (leave the original one there) and rename it to the exact name of your latest BackUp (the one on your desktop), now simply copy/overwrite this newly renamed .wbu file over the one that is placed on your desktop. Run your NPS and try to restore again by using that old-wbu-renamed-to-new-wbu one. It's just a thought! By the way, I hope your .wbu ain't corrupted

Guest iWiNMo Posted December 17, 2009 Report Posted December 17, 2009 tried your steps..but still fail..im very sure my .wbu is not corrupted because it was stated backup succesfully..thanks alot! appreciate your help! was hoping if there were any 3rd party app that can extract the .wbu file.. ;) Ok then! You are left with two or three more choices 1: Uninstall the NPS and re-install it again in other partition of your PC hardDisk and try again to restore OR totally try another PC or Laptop for this restoration purpose and if it's XP-SP3 would be much nicer! 2: If the first choice failed, then you are about heading to last resort if really your backed-up files worth doing so!? Just reflash your device, first PDA part ONLY, with the same version of ROM that you've probably used before, then try to restore your .wbu file and if you were unlucky enough to not make it work! Then re-flash the whole phone, including eboot, Phone, PDA & CSC with same version of ROM that you have used and of course no need to remind you the risks of taking this very last step (Full device flashing) how high could be!? So, for the meantime, go with my first suggestion if you haven't tried it yet! Then look around for other solutions and perhaps some tools that are capable of extracting this type of image (*.wbu) before procceding to partialy/Full re-flashing your precious O2. Good luck ;)
