Random Silence

Often times, I will get a text message, but no notification. Like the phone went into silent mode. Hasn't happened with a call....yet.

The phone is face up (so etiquette is not an issue....also behaves this way when etiquette is turned off).

I thought maybe s2u2 was causing it, but I can't find any reason for it.

It usually happens when I'm in a text conversation...like after X texts received in Y minutes, stop audio alert....

has anyone else noticed this?

*edit - happened on a call just now. call came in, no ringing....

That happens to me from time to time. The screen turns on but no notification. I don't use any skin software. Sometimes it happens when I recieve "more-than-one-message" type of message: the screen turns on, it waits for 30-40secs and then i hear the notification sound and the vibration.

I uninstalled SU2U and might try what's in this thread http://www.modaco.com/content/i8000-verizo...20-lock-screen/ and see how it goes.
