Hello Guys,

After bought the omnia 2 four weeks ago I directly updated it to wm6.5 org ROM.

I wanted so bad TT7 that I was busy for to weeks every night to get the final go. ;)

Been on every site from dutch tweaker to winmo to xda and modaco but nothing gave me the clear answer.

So her is the answer:

First you need no registry editing to do ;)

- Been there done it no help. don't do it.

Second you need a GPSfixer in my case I use the GPSgate 2.6 but maybe the GPSsplitter also will work. ;)

- Had I the splitter installed but i thought it doesn't work with mw6.5 so got the GPSgate (but .... maybe if you set the good baudrate it will work).

Third go to the GPS setiings and let everything to default (com7 and com9) except the baudrate set this to 115200.

Then open GPSgate and let him search the GPS (com7) and let him make a virtal output com (com2).

If that's finished mark the option "Close input when idle" and run it by pressing the "OPEN" buton.

Go to TT7 and change the GPS into "another NMEA GPS-receiver" set baudrate to 4800 and choose the virtual com poort (com2).

Fix in about 5 a 10 seconds going to test it on the road tomorrow so let you guys know. ;)

For now have fun with the above. :P

Hi SKR,

thanks for sharing the information with us. I have been trying Tomtom 7 in Omnia 1 and 2, and in both I am getting low signal and tomtom asks if i am inside a building, which i am not.

I hope this fixes the problem, which version of tomtom and winmo 6.5 do you use? Although I read here in the forums that some people got it to work with no gpsgate or others.
