Can The Phone button be remapped to open the default phone app?

I have this problem

Is there a way to re assign the phone button to open the default phone app that all the other programs use? Everything is working wonderfully except disabling the samsung dialer to use the default dialer leaves the phone button unmapped for some reason. I would just like the phone button to open the default phone app as it should
