Any one can help ;) ? thanks I'm using RDF's IK5-UltraLite ROM at this point and there is no more TouchWiz to try this out but give it a try. Go to this direction, Start> Settings> Basic Settings> Sound Settings> Touch Alert> Touch Event> then select NONE --> click DONE and try to see if has it disabaled that annoying sound or no!? ;)

Guest dgmorland Posted December 17, 2009 Report Posted December 17, 2009 I don't think anyone has found a solution to this - a few people have asked how to stop the sounds. Samsung seem to have coded this so as to ignore any of the system sound settings and just make that annoying beep sound all the time.
Guest crasy666 Posted December 17, 2009 Report Posted December 17, 2009 I have replaced the following files in the Windows directory with an empty one, so the sound disappear: 04_Widget_Menu_Popup.wav 05_Widget_Menu_Hide.wav 06_widget_icon_click.wav 07_widget_icon_popup.wav 08_Wiget_icon_insert.wav so the Samsung sounds are gone, hope this works for you! Guest crasy666 Posted December 17, 2009 Report Posted December 17, 2009 @mccmjoon76: If you have absolutely no knowledge about WM / PC and doing modification, I propose you to be very carefully! Since this data are in the ROM section and you can "damage" your phone, (I have expereince, since I replace the camera sound with an empty one, 0 byte, and the camera hang-up) anyway, here is a small guidance, but of course without warrantee and on your own risk: 1. sync your Omnia with Active Sync 2. Explore the filesystem of your device, go to the Windows folder 3. sort the files by "type" and go to Wav files, copy all files to your desktop, so you have a backup, in cause something went wrong (you will also find the widgets wav files there. 4. create new empty files with the same name: 04_Widget_Menu_Popup.wav 05_Widget_Menu_Hide.wav 06_widget_icon_click.wav 07_widget_icon_popup.wav 08_Wiget_icon_insert.wav by "new" > "text document" than rename it to the file name above, and set the properties to hidden. 5. than copy this files back to your mobile device in the windows directory (you will have to accept the overwritting of the existing files) that's it, if the overwritting doesn't work, copy to files to your internal memory and than move it on the device with a file explorer like Resco Explorer

I can't find the way to disable the sound from SETTING ;) . Any one can help ;) ? thanks Another way of doing it, goto "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\StartInfo" change "HideSettings" value to 0. Restart the phone and you'll a new full grey color "Settings" icon, this was WM default Settings icon Now click new "Setting > Sound & Notifications, uncheck "Programs". Done! However, doing this also disable alarm and reminder.
