How to change phone # display

Does anyone know if there's a way to change how phone numbers are displayed without changing the region settings? I want to keep my region set to Canada, so I can use the Canadian Marketplace. But Hong Kong phone numbers are 8 digits. With the Canadian region settings, Phone numbers look like this: (123)456-78

Which is very awkward, and hard to keep track of.

Surely there is a tweak we can do in the registry to change just the phone # display?

How about adding "+852" prefix to all your Hong kong numbers (i.e. (852) 123-45678 )

That doesn't really help with incoming calls, and an extra 4 keys each time I want to dial is kind of a nuisance.

I hope to find a way to just set the numbers ;)
