Guest Ceed19 Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 FIX Increasing Ring Issue I920 I read on this thread: http://www.modaco.com/content/i8000-verizo...d-programs-faq/ To fix the increasing ring problem, go to registry \HKCU\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\Ring; Change the DWORD: AttenuationCategory to Value: 1 I tried that on my I920 to stop the increasing ring but instead it made my ring stop for 3-5 seconds upon incoming call then play at full volume. I don't know if other I920 users have this increasing ring issue or even care but I want mine to ring at whatever volume I set it for. Playing with the attenuation value it seems that on the I920 0 = No ring at all 1 = some form of a delayed ring 2 = increasing ring 3 = elongated increasing ring, soft ring for 5-6 seconds (or until sound file plays once I cant tell) then full colume ring 4 = Full volume ring from beginning (this is the one I want) 5= seems to be the same as for, I stopped after 5 though Hope this helps anyone else who has the increasing ring and want a full volume ring
Guest rul3s Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 Same here, I8000NXXIJ4. with what windows? 6.1 or 6.5?
Guest costipl Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 (edited) with what windows? 6.1 or 6.5? 6.5 I tried setting 1,4 and 5 and each results in no sound being played. When set to 0, it would revert back to 5 by itself after a soft reset. Edited December 18, 2009 by costipl
