Guest Shuflie Posted December 21, 2009 Report Posted December 21, 2009 Just building now... the old supplied kernel would NOT build with Netfilter, so it'll be interesting to see if this one works OK! If so i'm going to release updates to both my ROMs that will REQUIRE the December update. P Even if Netfilter doesn't work but you can get ext3/4 and compcache working it would be good, I'd like the ability to get into recovery from a key combination as a "just in case" backup option.

Certainly, it would IMHO make the phone(particularly custom ROMs) much more reliable, as you could recover from the "just stops booting on the android logo" issue.
Guest giryan Posted December 21, 2009 Report Posted December 21, 2009 (edited) New MCRs online. P Cool ;) thanks Paul ;) (Got 10 minutes left of work, so I'm going to see if I can get it upgraded before then ;) ) Edited December 21, 2009 by giryan
Guest rjm2k Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 All i changed was copying mach-types.h from include/asm-arm to include/asm No need todo this, simply remove your include/asm directory and the build creates a symbolic link to the correct place. Seems that when they created the archive the symlinks became real directorys which confuses the issue! NB the old asm/directory which you remove has a renamed mach_types.h file in it (called mach_typ.h), who knows what they were playing at! Still running but looks like it compiles "out of the box" after this change.
