Hi there!

I have a problem with S2U2 on my I8000 Omnia 2. I installed it, and tried it. It's a cool program, but the call screen is not working to me. I can't slide the answer/reject slider, because the original call "window" is there. Sometimes it's visible, sometimes not, but even when it's not visible, I can't slide the slider. It's not responding.

Anybody have this problem? Any idea how to solve this?

Turn the embedded Screenlock off from Samsung / WinMob.

That screen lock was disabled. Tkat's not the problem. The original call window appear when a call coming in and it's in front the s2u2's slider.

That screen lock was disabled...

Use "RawBuffer" in "Advanced>Display Mode"...

Go find the option lock system notifications?

I tried the system notifications, and the rawbuffer, but didn't worked. Now, the windows' incaming call window below the s2u2's screen, but only the bottom half of the slider is sensitive. Hard to slide to any direction. ;)

If anyone can't understand what am I trying to say, then here's a pic. The slider only in the red rectangle are sensitive to touch. Please help to fix this. It's really annoying. I saw many of you use S2U2 on Omnia 2, someone must have a way to fix this problem.

How do you mean "fullscreen"? I found "fullscreen battery" only. I'm using v2.21 from the beginning.

My screen dim like forever with version 2.21. Brightness level not working at all.

The creator of S2U2 also confirmed this problem on OmniaII in his changelog

Changes of v2.21

- renamed "InCall Lock" to "Lock on Talk"; additional option for using external power; and moved to S2U2 Settings -> Power.

- added option - "Don't lock system"; when it's on, the system will behave the same as the old version. (S2U2 Settings -> Advanced)

since v2.20, when S2U2 locks the system, the system will behave as it's locked by the system built-in lock.

however, on some devices, it may lead to some not-welcome behaviour when locked:

for eg, on Omnia/Omnia II, the backlight will be dimmed; on some devices, unlock will always go to the home screen.

but there is a draw back when this option is turned on: some keys or system functions can be activated even it's locked.

- added to show the divert call status on the lock screen.

- a few minor bugs fixed.

How come u guys dont have such problem?

Hi Chokia,

I do not encounter any issues with S2U2 on my Omnia 2 I8000.

I'm currently using S2U2 v2.21 on Khuanchai's WM6.5.3 ROM. Other software installed include Resco Contact Manager 2.02, Opera 10 beta 2u, e-Native Showcase, Swype.

You may want to check if your problem is related to another software you installed.

Try to download the libgess dll from the forum "open gl thread" also there was a "teeter for omnia 2 thread" when you install it open gl activates may be a solution.

I also have new problems with S2U2. :) I don't care about the sliders anymore, I was turned all off. But when my phone rings, and I press the answer button, the phones keep ringing and not do anything. I can't accept calls with S2U2. Is this a known issue or someone have an idea how to fix this? Or I should use an other app like S2U2?

You need to turn on S2A Hard Answer Key and S2A Hard End Key in the Phone panel in S2U2 settings.

Also, you will have problems if the native Samsung caller-id is still functional. It will fight with S2U2. To eliminate this problem, you have to turn off the OEM dialer skin, which unfortunately leaves you with the generic WM dialer skin (which I prefer, actually, but some people don't like it). A small price to pay, IMO, to use S2U2.

To turn it off, use a registry editor to change the following registry value to zero:

HKLM\Security\Phone\Skin\Enabled -> 0

Finally, for your slider problem, I'm thinking maybe you installed the wrong version of S2U2? There is a WQVGA version, and a WVGA version. The former is for the i9x0, and other lower resolution phones. The Omnia II is a WVGA phone -- make sure that is the version you are using.

even with hard answer keys selected, the hard keys don't work - is this because the samsung dialer is disabled?

I have no issues at all. I'm on version 2.30 and on firmware JA5. Normally you would use GDI as display mode if I'm not mistaken, at least, that's the one I use :) as DirectDraw is sloooow(default in your mobile is some sort of debug software crap). If installed correctly S2U2 would tell you that there are 2 screenlocks in effect and that you need to disable the other one and softreset. As for the 'original' call screen, could that be the firmware version?
