I'm compelled to post this because I am so impressed with both the product (SK Tools), and the company after using it for a year.

Here's why:

  • SK Tools is a very feature-rich collection of all sorts of different tools that aid in keeping main memory clean and maximized, managing startup processes and services, cab files (one really neat feature is you can make a cab of an installed program after it's been unlocked with the purchase key, configured, etc., and easily reinstall it in the same state after a hard reset), registry management/edit/clean/optimize, storage analysis, and much much more. I'm still learning how to use features of this product, it does so much!
  • More important -- and this is what motivated me to plug here -- their support is the best I have experienced for Windows Mobile products anywhere. They are prompt and responsive to support inquiries, and it seems to be standard practice to carry on email dialog without days between communications.
  • Related to support, they frequently update and release incremental improvements and enhancements to their products. SK Tools has been released at least half a dozen times in the last year. Because of this, they keep up with the fast-changing technology in OS and hardware. What got me so giddy about this was checking Dinarsoft's website to see if there has been an update to Memmaid -- another good tool -- and nothing's been done with it for a year and a half. Soon, it won't be able to really function properly on WM, perhaps with WM7. Looking at the other products on that site, it looks like the developer has moved on 18 months ago. SK Tools does pretty much everything Memmaid does these days, is current, and constantly updated. I wouldn't recommend Memmaid at this point.

The only thing that SK Tools could really use some improvement on is the user interface (they rely way too much on OK and Cancel through menu items -- these, and other very common UI operations should always be buttons on the screen), but they've been working on that too.

Anyway, it's got to be the best US$19.00 I've speny for my phone. I'd highly recommend it for any user.
