Guest wurzelsepp Posted December 29, 2009 Report Posted December 29, 2009 At least on my Omnia pro this tool makes the speaker way louder, and even improves the quality a bit. http://www.modaco.com/content/i8000-verizo...-hd-for-omnia2/
Guest Herick Posted December 30, 2009 Report Posted December 30, 2009 (edited) hi i have tryed everything to get get my phone speaker lowder but nothing (voice speaker and foce speaker) can sombody help me please? thanks I had the same problem before, try following steps: 1. From soft keypad enter *#0228#. This enters the Test Mode 2. Press "BACK" twice (located at bottom left corner). A list of options [1] to [9] will appear 3. Select [8] from keypad. This enters the audio setting screen 4. Select [3] from keypad. This enters the speaker setting screen 5. Select [2] from keypad. This enters the "RX" setting screen, meaning Receive 6. Select [1] from keypad. This enters the Receive Volume setting screen 7. Select [2] from keypad. This enters screen for setting volume corresponding to volume level 0. We want to increase the level to -9dB, so you need to enter 9* followed by Enter. The * means negative value. 8. Repeat step 7 for volume levels 1-5. 9. Press "END" at bottom right corner when done The values I am using are volume 0 to 5 correspond to -9dB, -6dB, -3dB, 0dB, 3dB, 6dB. In addition to speaker value, you can also set values for mic and earpiece. Once you understand the above, the menu items should be easy to understand. In case you want to restore the factory values, you can use the "Rebuild" item to do so. Hope this helps :) Edited December 30, 2009 by Herick

I also tried reducing it but didn't seem to make any difference! Any Ideas? I'm on standard WM6.5 UK I8000. I also tried soft resetting afterwards but the volume the same. The value has actually changed though...

Maybe you can explore it.
Guest Eugene Chan Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 Hi, there is another menu which you can enter by keying *#0002*28346# However, I have no further information on how to adjust the settings. Maybe you can explore it. You can try this, it works great for me: Just dial this *#0002*28346# ---> Audio gain screen will pop up ----> click on music speaker----> then click again----> Under output volume change the following values: L1VL2 – 110; HPG7 – 1110; L3L7 – 10; OVL7 – 00001001; OVR7 - 00010010 --->then click apply, a small screen will pop up, click ok on it----> once on the main screen again, you can apply the same values for all other areas like ringtone, force speaker, voice, speaker and once done, click on menu and exit. Note that these values will not be changed after the soft reset but they will go back to manufacture values after a hard reset. here are the default values to set back to factory specs: L1VL2 – 101; HPG7 – 1011; L3VL7 – 10; OVL7 – 00011000; OVR7 - 00011000

Someone can help me whit this? Thanks The tutorial is specifically for "speaker phone", so you cannot follow it strictly if you want to change volume of earphone. In step 4 did you select [1] for headset instead of [3] for speaker?

In step 4 did you select [1] for headset instead of [3] for speaker? Yes i did it. But i cant make any difference changing that values. In step 4 [1] is for "Handset" not "headset" (this is [2]), in fact i have another "BT headset" is [4] I try all of that, question, do i have to do a soft reset for the changes take efect?. Do you modified this values for music trough earphones? if yes, what values do you have? Thanks a lot for your answer.

I think this is for the volume for phone calls and not for music playing. I changed the volume levels for both "handset" and "speaker" and it worked in both cases.

"I think this is for the volume for phone calls and not for music playing." Ok, that could be a reason. I have to investigate which one controls the music player trough earphones. If i achieve something i will write to you again.
