Taiwan version of i8000?

I'm told the Taiwan version of the i8000 does NOT have English. Can anyone confirm? I was about to buy one in Taiwan but the sales people seemed unsure it had English. Shrug. I bought my N82 here and I always thought you could just switch language to English as all phones have it? Or is WinMo a different beast?

I flashed Taiwan ROM before and it had English as an option. I own a Hong Kong i8000 and it came with English option also. Now I am using Secany's IL5 ROM which has English and other European languages.
