Guest nap_rz Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 mine is about 1.5 days from a fully charged state when used normally ---> about 1-1.5 hours of internet using data connections (no wifi), 20-40 sms, about 0.5-1 hour of calling and the rest is taking photos, file/pictures browsing and occasional gaming... to my surprise, the battery is much long lasting when using wifi than data connections, and the data connections really killing the battery as it can drop 10% under 0.5 an hour :) what about yours?

I don't have any exact datas... but to me WiFI seems to drain a lot more battery than data connection(but I admit I used them just a couple of times, so I may be wrong)
Guest DunKnow Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 I do not use any data connection but with some frequent wifi usage, i get 3 days. Without wifi usage and just a few phone calls and messages, i might be lucky to get the fourth day. hehe.
Guest Soremir Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 I don't use it much! I send about 3-4 sms per day, 1-2 phone calls that is no more that 10 minutes together, some wifi here and there, a little bit of gaming and I put it in airplane mode at nights when I sleep! It gives me 11-12 days! I am pretty surprised about its battery!!!

Disabling 3G makes it last much longer too. So no WIFI, no 3G, only EDGE and I have 2 full days with push email (exchange, 10 hours a day instant delivery), about 1 hour of web browsing (opera, optimized sites) and 5 calls 1-2 minutes. The worst situation I get with this phone occurs when I put it in the pocket of my jeans. If I'm using push e-mail, then the battery drains so so so fast. This phone really doesnt like pockets.

Approx times: Phone mainly on standby with minimal usage: 8-9+ days Light daily usage (max 30 min): 6-8 days Normal daily usage (min 2h/day - including play) 2-4 days Full throttle usage (till it drains: play around 6-7h, maybe more, depending on the game) Data connection and wireless have heavy impact, full browsing will end batt life in cca 6h
Guest surgex Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 (edited) I get 2-3 days, but I have my exchange server set for on / off times, same thing with titanium weather. Exchange server is set to be "push" from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM and then manual sync only. I also have an IMAP account that checks for mail every 5 minutes 24\7. Titanium weather is set for the same time, 15 minute update intervals from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM then manual updates only. I keep bluetooth on 24\7 cause I use it all the time for activesync and for my car's handsfree thing..I never use wifi unless I'm at home trying to stream movies, which is rare...I am usually at work. I would really like for WMLongLife to work on the i920...that would be killer, I could probably get 5 days :) But CF needs a way to force 1xRTT on cdma devices...hm. Edited January 4, 2010 by surgex
Guest monyozt Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 using normal usage about 30-50sms/day just make update weather phone call 5minutes each day i got 2days batree life
Guest Steel Reign Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 I send about 100 sms a day(ima teenager lol). Browse internet for about 1 hour. Play games for about an hour on high performance mode. Then listen to music for about 30 minutes. I get 1.5 days with extended battery and 1 day without. I'm loving this battery life.
