Guest dadis1988 Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 I tryied to update my windows mobile. I go to settings --> system --> Windows Update But it does not connect. I get Timeout... Am I the only one with that issue? I have sent mail to Samsung with that issue and i have sent email with question over: 50% of RAM reserved for what, when i will get some answers will post it
Guest Snow02 Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 (edited) That's correct. The update feature is non-working. My understanding is that this will be implemented, but due to a combination of factors (lack of standardized hardware set, etc.), is not active as it would likely cause as many problems as benefits. Currently the only way to get an official update is through ROMs via your carrier or handset manufacturer. Edited January 5, 2010 by Snow02

Guest the_bulk Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 You really think they will give an option to update winmo 6.1\6.5 devices to new win 7? I think they just would not do that because people wont buy new phones if they can just upgrade that easily. Correct me if i am wrong.

I think they just would not do that because people wont buy new phones if they can just upgrade that easily. Correct me if i am wrong. It was never meant to be an OS upgrade option. It was set up like Windows Update on your PC to keep your current OS up to date with the latest patches and hotfixes. It's been in the settings since WM6.0 came out, but as 'stylus1828' stated in an earlier post, it will probably never be used. Who really wants to rely on Microsoft to keep their device running sweet anyway? If it wasn't for the likes of the wizards here and XDA, we'd die waiting :)
Guest dadis1988 Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 i wanted to use it:):) I KNOW I`m NOOB.... but i installed game. When i started that game got error that i need to install new version of .NET, that (i think) you should do with Windows Update. Of course i can search on XDA dev. and on Internet.... but when you van easley press the button on your phone, wait and you have it... thats easy, isn`t it??
