Guest xkonni Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 Is it possible that the md5 checksum not matches? hardly. i can not check the rapidshare one, because their servers are overloaded. but the one i downloaded some time ago matches the quoted checksum. i would not risk flashing an invalid recovery.img, better download again ;)
Guest Ash_786 Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 (edited) I've been looking for the original recovery image as I want to remove this one (as I believe thats how it works), does anyone have a link ? Thanks ! p.s. I'm using a mac and when I try extracting some of the files from the images here (22607-ERD79-update-nexusone-stock-images.zip), it gives me an error message that its unable to extract. EDIT : HANG ON - Sorted. Used a Windows machine ! Edited February 10, 2010 by Ash_786
Guest ludo218 Posted February 19, 2010 Report Posted February 19, 2010 Does Nandroid backup/restore the radio too ?
Guest xkonni Posted February 19, 2010 Report Posted February 19, 2010 Does Nandroid backup/restore the radio too ? no, it does not. just boot, data and system partitions.
Guest ludo218 Posted February 19, 2010 Report Posted February 19, 2010 Thanks, it's what I thought, but as radio is not mentioned in the 1st post I wanted to be sure
Guest xkonni Posted February 19, 2010 Report Posted February 19, 2010 Thanks, it's what I thought, but as radio is not mentioned in the 1st post I wanted to be sure radio is not something you reflash that often, except with the nexus 3g errors maybe :D but it would not make much sense to backup/restore it automatically.

Guest haf Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 I would like to move A2SD... In 1.6.2, if you select move apps + dalv to SD, must you then run a ROM from the kitchen with A2SD enabled for it to properly work? Or do you just run a rooted ROM like MCR 2.0 for example? I'm just confused on the order of doing this properly.
Guest haf Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 Update - have just updated to MCR v2 and all is good :)

When I enter the command the terminal on the phone is either telling me that theres no flash image thats found, and when I use the command prompt and CD into fastboot, its saying the command is not valid. This dosent make any sense..

Guest ranblv Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 (edited) I don't understand what that means. How do I fastboot devices to make sure fastboot sees my phone? you need to install the sdk from google on your PC and the USB driver of the phone from the SDK too. then put the phone in recovery and run the fastboot and adb commands on your PC. Guest hyper4mance2k Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 HELP ME! I cannot get this recovery image to flash for the life of me. here's the story. I have what was a ere27 build N1. 2 weeks ago I did the manual update to Google's prerelease of Froyo. Now my phone is a FRF50 build. As everyone else found out it's buggy as hell and GPS does not work. I searched for weeks to try and find a fix and I couldn't find anything other than to unlock the bootloader root the device and flash a different rom onto the phone. So I unlocked the BL from instructions here. Then in downloaded Pauls 1.0 FRF50 superboot. I tested the root with torch and it works, so the unlock and root must have worked. This is the first time I have ever used the cmd window and I have tried everything under the sun to get this thing to work so I can flash Pauls froyo and have working GPS again. I followed the instructions found here; http://ilikemygooglephone.com/2010/01/07/h...-for-nexus-one/ as they actually make sense to me, but I keep getting this error. Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600] © Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp. cd C:\fastboot C:\fastboot>fastboot-windows devices HT9C*******8 fastboot C:\fastboot>fastboot-windows flash recovery C:\fastboot\recovery-RA-nexus-v1.6.2 sending 'recovery' (3954 KB)... Guest ranblv Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 Try the other recovery tool, search for 'rom manager' in the market by clockworkmod, its not as good as AR but its easier to work and use.
