Guest qtilt Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 (edited) i just discovered this neat little app: Conduits pocket player 4.1. unlike the samsung touch player, it has no issues at all(so far): playlists can be imported album art shows finger friendly no slowdowns, even with large media libraries it can even play video with the same quality as the touch player! :) (as far as i can tell) its running great and i recommend it to anyone having problems with touch player. B) http://conduits.com/products/player/default.asp ***Note: it looks way better than the website makes it out to be. here's a nice skin from xda: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=424360 Edited January 6, 2010 by qtilt
Guest Matt174e Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 (edited) The main thing that pushed me towards getting this phone is the storage capacity for music (currently 32GB total and soon able to have 48GB when 32GB cards come out). My Zune 80 died, but I didn't want to get another MP3 player when I could get an all-in-one. So on to my point, I've been wondering about what the best player for the Omnia II would be... So far my favorite is Kinoma, which I had to shell out $30 for. It works great, but I'd like to know if there are any lighter players that work just as well. Another I've tried is the S2P player. It works great, and best of all... it's free. But my main issue was that I could only set one folder as the music directory (I have the 16GB card full, and using 8GB of the phones internal). Also, the menu seemed kind of jerky and go it's own way when I let go of the screen. As for the included Touch Player, I gave up on it as soon as I laid eyes on it. The menu was too slow to scroll through, and what irritates me the most is how the menu doesn't go from "Artist --> Album --> Song". It's just straight from "Artist --> Songs" Perhaps we should start a list of all the players out there and rate them with pros/cons =) Edit: I just have to give you a quick thanks for letting me know about this player! I'll defiantly be giving it a trial run. Edited January 6, 2010 by Matt174e
Guest alvinkh Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 is it able to play rmvb format? i still trying to find a player that can play rmvb
Guest dwallersv Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 I have both CorePlayer and Pocket Player, and use both. I generally use PP for music because it has a far superior GUI, as well has one feature that is critical for me -- balance. My hearing is uneven between my two ears. For video, nothing compares to CorePlayer, although it will be nice when HW acceleration is finally supported on the O2.

Video's running extremely jumpy and slow. See: http://forum.corecodec.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2857

See: http://forum.corecodec.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2857 im currently using secany's L2 rom with coreplayer 1.3.6 build 7427 with no problems at all. in fact, i am particularly enjoying its ability to view hvga youtube. :) edit: i think what you are saying is that it is not as good as the touch player video player, which supports the O2's gpu. This is true, but it still performs pretty good, especially with an overclock. B) try to keep the videos below 800x480 and use a reasonable data rate (<2000KBps) to get good performance in coreplayer. Or, just use the accelerated touch player. Edited January 6, 2010 by qtilt
Guest mistersfr Posted January 8, 2010 Report Posted January 8, 2010 hello there, i have a more than 2000 songs and try to find a good application to use and listen them. Unfortunately, Touch Player is good but start to lag and become slow when the number of songs increase, so no the one. S2P is the best that i have discover, not the perfect one, but the better that exist. I have read this Post, so i have find this player, but it is very basic, and work like WMP and nothing more. It doesn't use graphic like touch player, so it is pretty normal that the navigation is correct without lag. Just my opinion, but for me this player give nothing more that already exist on the market, for exemple Nitrogen to the same. Best Regards

I need to set left channel louder than right for ca 25% and can't figure out how to do that :/ Edited January 9, 2010 by Shiryu

Set from -128 to 128, left to right.
Guest sekobati Posted January 9, 2010 Report Posted January 9, 2010 i would rather use the free touch player :)
