Is this phone flawed?

Greetings!

Just signed up looking for help, I hope you can solve this :)

I just bought the Liquid from a friend, and I'm already having a lot problems: first I couldn't hear anything while making a call, and he made a hard reset to fix it.. apparently. After a couple of hours it happens again and he suggests me to reflash the phone. So, I've followed the instructions from the sticky post and the phone is now stuck at boot: ACER logo in the middle, three green android images in the corners. I have already waited for 20 minutes and it does not seem to do any good...

Ideas?

PS: Using Windows7 32bits

Fastboot mode shows the following:

USB Fastboot: V0.5

HW version: DVT2

AMSS version: A1-00.17.02

Machine ID: 1009000 v0

Build Date: Aug 27 2009, 04:10:47

Serial Number: UNKNOWN

Not had any of these problems, plus build date looks wrong. Mine is November. Maybe a pre-release version?

what rom did you originally had?

did you try the alternate super boot?

The thing is, it looks like your Liquid is different to the rest of ours, probably a display or sample released long before the official release (looking at the Build Date)

so superboot might be incompatible with your liquid

who knows

have to wait for Paul to take a look

Thanks for your comments, it's nice to know people care, he he...

I am beginning to suspect it is not a normal Liquid indeed. I have already tried flashing all the ROMs, both superboot and recovery.

I have also tried to use the Acer Download Tool. It crashes, but not after showing in the info box "No microP firmware". Sound familiar?

Though I like the Liquid I see in videos I'll probably give it back :)

Tough.. Give it back and buy a retail liquid instead! You won't regret that

I have already given it back :) No new Liquid though, that would mean overextending my budget!

not a good friend!

Ha ha! True!

try the ACER_A1_0.029.03_EN.zip first!!

I think I did, but the Acer Tool did not work for me in Win7...

Thanks everyone for reading (and even more for answering).

I guess that will be all!!
