I just sent a mail to acer to know about sources. Automatic answer was:

i.e.: software updates (when available and authorized by Microsoft) will be available on http://support.acer-euro.com.

Why can't you look at Nexus One kernel source?

It may have the same processor but not necessary the same hardware. Some pieces of kernel are modules and in identical situations of hardware and kernel versions may be version portable or compiled by hand. But there are pieces that can't be separated from the initial kernel boot stage. With the kernel sources you have all the pieces of your hardware ready to be compiled and you can add your custom modules and build your own configuration.
