Custom ROM bug with unthreaded SMS?

I am using Sonblack CE OS 5.2.21887 Build 21887.5.0.86 PV custom ROM and I have noticed an issue with the Samsung SMS application. I believe the SMS app in this ROM is the same as the one in the L5 ROM from Secany. I am not sure if this problem is specific to this ROM or if it is a problem with the Samsung SMS app regardless of which ROM. Could others please help me confirm if this is something generic or ROM specific?

The issue is when you have configured the Samsung SMS app NOT to enable threaded SMS view (at the main Accounts page, select the Menu button then coversation then make sure that "enable threaded SMS View" is not selected.

If I receive an SMS it shows in the Inbox correctly. If I tap to open the message, it shows the full message correctly. If I reply to the message it saves my reply to the Sent Items folder. So far so good.

Now if I go back to the Inbox and open the original message again, it will open the copy of my Sent Item reply instead of the message I have just selected in the Inbox!

If I receive another SMS from the same person, no matter which of the two messages from them I open in the Inbox, it always displays the last message sent/received to this person! It is like the threaded SMS is not properly disabled. It is always showing the last message in the threaded conversation regardless of which one you select in the Inbox.

Another issue I have noticed is that with threaded SMS disabled, if I open a message in the Inbox to view it then press OK, it does not set the message as having been read - it still shows as an unread message. I think this is related to the other problem.

Threaded SMS works correctly for me - it is only the unthreaded option that seems to have these problems. Does this problem happen on your ROM?

hello,

what you descripte is happen to me on threaded sms with samsung interface. if i toggle via start/message icon, this will not be issue.

after follow advice on the tweak, i used the defaulted window message interface. the problem you descripe is gone. samsung or wm message is okay.

my difference from your is i write to 1 person only.
