Hey, :) .My Friends got a huawei 8220,not pulse.

It's modified by ChinaUnicon and has a Chinese Canvas UI.

i tryied to run superboot, but not working by " tap the powerbutton while holding the 'Volume Down' and 'End (Red)' keys".it just normal boot, not in the "Blue Screen".

i can run adb with no root, cannot use "tar" to it,no permission.

so how can i do a whole system backup?

B) ;)

Try some different key combinations, vol + and red, red + menu etc etc.

You shouldn't use superboot if you want a clean backup, use the recovery image instead .

:) i thought my friends made a mistake.it can also get in to boot loader.

it shows:

usb fastboot :v0.5

machine ID:XXXXXXXX

build date: Dec 11 2009 03:32:40

it seems different from pulse...

Did it work?

Could you upload your backup?

Im really interested in the chinese ROM for the Pulse :)

I'm not sure about whether the Recovery 1.52 would fit with the "Dec 11 system“,or it would be a continued reboot?

And right now I just found only 2 U8220 user in China ,the offical service was not start yet.

So is there a more safaty way to backup?

As far as i know you don't write anything onto your device if you just boot the amonra recovery image.

Just edit the 'install-recovery-windows.bat' file

Instead of

fastboot-windows.exe flash recovery recovery-RA-pulse-v1.5.2.img

write

fastboot-windows.exe boot recovery-RA-pulse-v1.5.2.img

That should work fine without making any changes to your phone :)

this is the backup.

It supports english well, and has a well sensitive touch really.Just like when i used to used qwerty,i could hardly touch the P,but now I could easily do that.

I've loaded this onto my post dec pulse, seems to work ok so far though some chinese text in places.

Model shows as 8220

Firmware 1.5

Baseband 6383

Build U8220V100R001C17B236

I can't see the market application anywhere.
