I have just come to realise that everytime I tap Microsoft Myphone and Marketplace, these applications open and immediately close themselves down. My phone is GT-i8000H running official HK WM6.5 rom and I have installed s2u2 (and the samsung lock mob), the WM6.1 menusettings cab (immediately uninstalled after getting the old WM6.1 touchwiz settings back), Resco explorer + registry editor.

I just wonder if any of the installed cabs crash with Myphone/ Marketplace, any solution is appreciated

Have you already tried downloading the latest version of MyPhone? Not sure why they keep closing on you, but maybe reinstalling MyPhone could fix the issue.

now I can use Myphone but marketplace still doesn't work (I've downloaded the cab for the WM 6.1 marketplace app but cannot install and the one that comes with the phone doesn't work either)

PS. I know why Marketplace doesn't work, I can find Marketplace.ink file in Resco explorer but I cannot find the .exe file (in other words the app doesn't exist), but for some reason, when I download the mktplace app from mobile.microsoft.com the phone wouldn't allow me to install the cab. Some help on this will be great

Ah :)

I thought I was the only one with this issue B)

So... has it something to do with the HK firmware then? Too bad :/

I could install a Belgian one: Marketplace & My Phone both work, but then I'll lose support for kanji, which is why I bought the phone in Asia in the first place. Unless there's a way to get Japanese/Chinese character input/output on western firmwares?
