Can't set Language after flashing JA1

This is the first time i flashed mi I8000L and i only flashed my PDA part with Secany's I8000NXXJA1. When flashing is almost done, i see a screen with the language settings, but i can't do anything, the system sets everything automatically to english and doesn't let me choose spanish, which is my language. After the phone starts, i go at the language change option in the settings menu, and i have the english (which is sellected) and spanish options to choose, and when i set spanish and the phone restarts, the same thing happens, english language is chosen automatically by the system and i can't even choose anything from the list.

Any ideas on how to set the language to spanish manually?

You flashed and CSC file from I8000NXXJA1 ( CSC_I8000NXXJA1.CSC ) ? If not , flash only CSC file ( take 10 min is not dagerous ) and on Octans Downloader / MultiCSC / CSC File Select - select your COUNTRY CODE . Here is COUNTRY CODE .

I flashed PDA only since i have I8000L and Rodrigo told me to flash only PDA part to be safe. Anyway my country is not there, i'm from Argentina.

Sorry i cant help you, only way to have spanish language is to flash CSC file from I8000NXXJA1 . For spanish language the cod country ar AMNJA1 ,FOPJA1 ,YOGJA1 . Good luck !

I solved the problem. This is what i did. When the language selection screen showed on, an automated process started and the english language was selected. I had to quickly move down with the hung key to the spanish option before the automated process begun. I had to try many times before i hit the right option (Spanish in my case), but finally i did and now the device is in spanish.

No CSC flashing needed, just patience...

How did it go for you with XXJA1? It's justified to flash pda?

Currently only touch player is not working properly, missing favorites tab and ram shortage (wm6.5 21683), rest is fine.

I also have the Personal's I8000L. Performance after update is awsome. Before flashing, when i hit the menu button it took about 3-4 seconds for all the pages to load. Now it's very fast, and has overall much better performance. Just keep in mind the troubles i had with the automated language selection, i don't know the reason, but you will have to be very patient hitting the hung key until you can sellect the propper language. Perhaps there's an easier sollution, but that's how i got it to work.

if you flash using the xeu csc the language change works.

i have changed the language to french that way.

Good to know, I was trying to flash only pda to minimize any risk loosing original csc because phone is locked by carrier (I suppose it's not related but...)
