Default browser slow over wifi

Hi,

Is it normal that the default Pulse web browser is quite slow to load pages over wifi? Some sites take up to 20 secs to fully load. The same site on my Nokia 5800 using opera mini takes 2-3 seconds, even Opera mini on the Pulse loads the page around 5 seconds but I do prefer the functionality of the default browser. I have tried the Dolphin browser and its still slow, is this normal?

Thanks

That's not my experience. Usually I get faster response over wifi, and I put this down to relative strength of 3G and Wifi signals.

I think I might have solved it, I turned Javascript off in the settings and it seems to improve the load times considerably.

Although, saying that certain sites such as gmail mobile refuse to load with javascript off :)

Can one of you do a quick test for me please?

Can you make sure Javascript is enabled and tell me how long it takes to load http://www.eurogamer.net in the dolphin browser.

I used http://www.online-stopwatch.com/ to time it, it took 20 secs on my Pulse.

Thanks

20 seconds for me in the default browser, from start to completely loaded. Page started appearing with about 5 seconds. Don't have Dolphin installed, sorry.

Thanks for trying, sounds exactly the same as mine then. I guess the default browser is just slow.

Cheers
