Guest Marcony0 Posted January 13, 2010 Report Posted January 13, 2010 Frankly there are a lot of processes and apk that are in the android which i would really like to know what they are for. Like vending.apk checking.apk and other less obvious apk under system/app . should we open a thread ?
Guest Posted January 13, 2010 Report Posted January 13, 2010 As per title...what is it, what's it do? thanks... I have a sneaking suspicion its a back end web browser that makes the connection for the HTC apps: Weather and Peep as it crashes when there is a problem reaching Twitter.
Guest maxld Posted January 13, 2010 Report Posted January 13, 2010 Like vending.apk It's market application.

If you look at the data in /data/data/ you will see that vending had cache files of the items you have looked at in Google Market.
Guest venturerider Posted January 13, 2010 Report Posted January 13, 2010 I want to know what updater.apk is.
Guest Posted January 13, 2010 Report Posted January 13, 2010 I want to know what updater.apk is. I suspect this is what syncs the memory card when you mount/unmount it.
