I have a sneaking suspicion its a back end web browser that makes the connection for the HTC apps: Weather and Peep as it crashes when there is a problem reaching Twitter. Like vending.apk checking.apk and other less obvious apk under system/app . should we open a thread ? vending takes care of the display of the results from Google Market and checkin is the authenticator for Google Mail and other Google apps.
