I have tried very hard but am unable to find a solution to this. So putting this out in the open now ...

I use exchange webmail to access my company mail at the moment . Is it possible to configure Roadsync to fetch those mails ? (or is there any other app available for that ?)

Yes Roadsync is meant for synching with an Exchange server. It can sync contacts, mail and agenda. The contacts

are really the contacts on your phone, wheras the agenda and mail are seperate applications.

Ask your exchange mailmaster what the configuration parameters are for your mailserver, at most sites

your account has to be specifically allowed to have this kind of access.

Basically you need:

- your userid

- your password

- domain

- Internetaddress of the mailserver

Assuming your company doesn't make available activesync, I think (some one correct me if I'm wrong) that roadsync is not going to work. You can visit the outlook web access page in the Android browser, or set up an outlook rule to forward your mail to (say) your googlemail account (but I would check your company's policy on this, as it would involve putting the company's data on an external server).

Not quite a full mail solution, but there is an app on the market called "exchangeIt" that allows read-only access to your Exchange INBOX. It does not allow sending emails or viewing any other folders. It is handy for checking new emails, but that is about it.

I have used it successfully on my companies Exchange OWA.

Roadsync doesn't work for me.

I can only access my work mail through Outlook web access. Even when I configure it in Outlook I have to click -"Connect using internet explorer" & also "Connect to microsoft exchange using HTTP"

Apparently there are no such settings available in Roadsync. And hence the search for alternative solutions.

(And to top it all, the support guys at my organization are a bunch of idiots... Only get automated emails from them saying "your system is not supported")

Are Windows Mobile phones supported by your organisation? My employer only supports Windows Mobile, but with roadsync

I can connect via the same interface as Windows Mobile, my employer does not need know I have an Android phone. Likewise with

I-Phone and newer Nokia's.

You cannot configure anything in Outlook, the configuration has to be done at the exchange server.

On the other hand I know some colleagues who prefer web access.

I had a very similar issue, that may or may not be related.

Basically you have to delete dropbear in order for Roadsync to work on a custom rom (Im assuming that is what you are doing)

Look at the last post for more information on this link: http://android.modaco.com/content/t-mobile...h-to-u8230-rom/

My problem now with Roadsync is that it will only give me access to basic folders and not for my sub folders from my inbox. Does anyone have a solution for this?

Cheers

The subfolders are probably only in your Outlook client on the PC, not on the server (I am not an exchange specialist).

You probably have mailrules to distribute mail into the subfolders, these run on the client, not on the Exchange server.
