I found this entry on my registry and it seems to be a virus. :)

HKLM\Software\Samsung\HomeDownloader\

I haven't been able to connect to the internet on my phone since a few days ago, that is why I took a look to the registry, and I found this:

HKLM\Software\Samsung\HomeDownloader\

HiddenVersion=ÂåNNNÝÝÂÿ þÂåNNNÝŒBÂÿ›þÂåNNNTÝÂÿ2þÂåNNNÝŒBÂÿ›

IMEI= 2 ëëN Nëå›åësN›

Local=TÝ

ProductCode=ÝŒB

Start=100 (0X000064)

Support=101 (0X000065)

Version=ÂåNNNÝÝÂÿ þÂåNNNÝŒBÂÿ›þÂåNNNTÝÂÿ2þÂåNNNÝŒBÂÿ›

I can delete the Values, but Access is Denied when I try to delete the Key (folder) HomeDownloader

Anyone who has the same Registry Entry?

I have Windows Mobile 6.1 in my Omnia II. And I have no idea if this is a virus and/or if it has something to do with my connection problem (I was using the Opera browser and suddenly I stopped receiving answer from the server... I can establish the connection, but no answer is received from the server).

I have WM 6.5, and the registry key is there. I don't think it's a virus. I do have the entries but the values are a bit different.

So, your problem most likely relies somewhere else. Do you see Wireless in Wireless Manager (Settings, General Settings, Wireless Manager => WiFi)? If you don't then you have the Wireless disappearing issue, which you can fix easily using the trick with the Connections Widget (basically turn on WiFi in the Widget and turn off the Phone immediately while it tries to start the WiFi) - or you can search the forum, it's been discussed previously in other threads.

Thnx for the reply.. im glad it is not a virus... :)

the problem i have is that the internet GPRS connection doesnt work.. Bluetooth and WiFi do work, but are turned off.

I have 2 GPRS connections, the WAP and the Internet... Wap works fine on the browser, but i cant use Google Maps or download Outlook email with it, so for that i used the Internet connection, which worked fine for 3 months and then it stopped working suddenly without any change in the settings...

I already went to Telcel, but they don't have a clue...

I changed my SIM to another phone and the Internet connection worked fine... I also bought another SIM and placed it on my phone but the internet connection didn't work.

I hard reset twice my phone and the internet connection is still not working...

B) i dont know what else to do... all settings im using are the same as everyone else...
