The pulse is disponible in german t-mobile site yet. (http://www.t-mobile.de/shop/handy/0,4855,2963-_26595-0-1-0,00.html)

So, We can maybe wait update for this market ?

I just called tmobile and they confirmed that the pulse is NOT being discontinued. I gave them this web address and they said they would look into why this news is being spread. This seems like good news for those that haven't bought their pulse yet!

WTF, I just realised that the price reduction to £96 was the day after I got it -_____- Now that people are mentioning it though, when I went to the tmobile store to get my pulse, they did say that it was the last one that they had...

Oddly enough I've just had an email from T-Mobile asking if I'd recommend my Pulse to others. Wonder if they're gauging interest for buying in more?

According to someone on the Tmobile forum the Pulse is available to buy if you phone them, don't know how true this is. I also notice that it was still available on the tmob site on a contract.

The news is being spread thanks to their sales team.

I was the one which contacted them and pasted the exact details from the conversation at the start of the thread.

If anyone from T-Mobile reads this then the names are correct and the conversation was seconds before my post in this thread so you can get date and time from there.

It would be useful if your staff knew what was going on rather than give false information.

Just to let you all know that I have just received a call from TMobile as I emailed them in respect of the rumours. He assured me that T-Mobile were defo still selling Pulse but he had people looking in to why it wasn't appearing a payg on the website.

He also added that it was their best selling phone! :)

While I hope this is true, another T-Mobile employee has said that they are being discontinued.

According to this section of the website, it looks like its still part of t-mobile's portfolio, however its just out of stock:

http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/shop/mobile-phon...oid/tmobile-g1/

That only lists it on a contract though. Other Pay as You Go phones that are out of stock are still being listed on the Pay as You Go Phones section. Hopefully the T-Mobile employee that rang chris is correct and the Pulse's absence is a mistake.

i bought my pulse PAYG.

When/how?

Just in case there has been some confusion, I am not saying that you could not buy it Pay as You Go, merely that the option is not currently available and appears will not be available in the future. I hope I am mistaken though.

Hm, It might be the case that T-Mobile are waiting for confirmation from Huawei that they can suply more phones/ thinking should they bother asking for more...I hope they continue selling the Pulse, it's brilliant for the price!!

Hi

guys rather new to the pulse, in fact its in the post.

Just thought i would tell everyone, i rang tmobile up yesterday and without too much hassle convinced them to send me 2 pulse's at £140 each.

So they have stock regardless of what the website shows

Convinced? What did they have to say before you got them to sell em?

16th of january at the tmobile shop in princes' street, edinburgh. i didn't have to pre-order or anything like that. I just walked in, and asked for the pulse they had on show just like all the other phones.

Hmmm, from a forum post over on overclockers:

According to a T-Mobile sales rep, the Pulse has not been discontinued but temporarily pulled pending testing of the current (or newer) software update. Some stores still have old stock, but they will not sell the phone directly on the website or via tele-sales until testing is complete. Apparently there were many complaints of the phone freezing. I tried to push the rep to sell the phone on contract directly, but the best they could offer was to search for stock in stores locally...

I've just had a live chat with a T-Mobile Sales Representative regarding the Pulse. The full, unedited transcript is below, but the general gist is that the T-Mobile Pulse will be available again on PAYG, most likely at the start of February.

R Bobbington: Hello.

T-Mobile: Hi there, my name is <removed, just in case>. I am part of the dedicated T-Mobile Online Sales Team. May I ask if you are enquiring about a new contract or an upgrade today?

R Bobbington: I was hoping to ask about a Pay as You Go phone.

T-Mobile: Great! I'm glad you are interested in a new plan with us today. In order for me to find the best deal for you may I first ask you a few questions?

R Bobbington: Err... that doesn't quite follow, but go on then.

T-Mobile: thanks

T-Mobile: May I ask if you are over 18?

R Bobbington: I am.

T-Mobile: Just to let you know that due to security reasons we do not currently accept Solo cards as an online form of payment - do you have another credit or debit card that you can use?

R Bobbington: I do.

T-Mobile: Great thanks

T-Mobile: Have you thought about the phone or tariff you would like?

R Bobbington: 1) Yes. 2) No – I was looking more for Pay As You Go.

R Bobbington: I was wondering if the T-Mobile Pulse is likely to be available on Pay As You Go once again, in the future?

R Bobbington: I see that it is currently available on a contract, but is no longer listed as a PAYG phone.

T-Mobile: Yes we have been told that it will be coming back

R Bobbington: Excellent. Thanks. Any idea when?

T-Mobile: We have not been given a date but it should be available in a few weeks time

T-Mobile: Most probably at the start of Feb

R Bobbington: Thank you very much. Bye.

Thanks for that. I don't understand T-Mobile's reps. When i tried to ask as soona s i found out all i got was a "discontinued" no matter what i said, e.g. the pulse is new bla bla.

I hope it's a case of them only finding out now about the Pulse situation otherwise its ridiculous that only some of em know what's going on.

My full story

I rang tmobile about a week ago and asked how much a hd2 was, and told them it was too much and might have to move to O2, no idea why i said that, sometimes its worth a go. they said sorry nothing i could do but how about a £5 reduction on your contract for 3 months while you consider your options. and i have 2 sims (one for the lady) so this saved me £30. very odd but hey 30quid is something.

So i then decided on the pulse, so i rang them back and explained and he said yes i see the notes on your account. i asked why the pulse wasn't on sale. he was very confused and said he didn't know but he stock and wanted £180 for it. I explained it was £140 2 days ago and he messed about a bit and said oh yeah ok. So then bought 2 over the phone.

Free delivery coming on wednesday.

There wasn't any real hassle at all, just ring the sales line :)

I placed a query on the t-mobile website regarding whether the phone been discontinued and if it has, how would it effect warranties. I got a call back the following day from their Indian call centre who said that the phone had a two year warranty and that the phone was in stock (he said there were a hundred or so appearing on his system), he said he had no idea why it had been removed from the website.

Can anyone confirm what warranty the Pulse comes with when you buy from T-Mobile?

Is that a serious question, even after quoting that message?
