Tylwith-Dr.Genius M2D V 1.0 WVGA for Omnia II

Impressive work has been done by Tylwith with a little bit reskinning by me :)

I need your help guys Unfortionately I have a big problem but I believe it is solvable !

I'm running M2D V2 ( WQVGA ) on my omnia II ( WVGA ) , it works but the display is aweful as it is expected , what can I do ?! , I think if I convert the theme into wvga and do some modefication with the setting xml file it should work flawlessly BUT I have no expertise to do them

Here is the complete WQVGA M2D V2 cab ( theme is already included ) that needs a lot of work to run properly on WVGA :-

So V2 is alittle bit difficult to modify but I'm sure there is a way, Right Tylwith & Jeffery2000

Known bugs:

Most of the settings don't work.

Weather tab and weather animation are not align properly.

I have not update the album from v1b4 so it doesn't work(will do it later).

I have not change the wifi driver name for the communication manager (will do it later)..

I only work on wwe rom.

I mostly concentrate on making it run properly.

I will let the first people to do screenshot.

Instructions:

1- Remove all version of m2d or tf3d(hard resetting is better)

2- Install the cab.

3- Then go to program file mortscipt and open mortscript.exe to register the extension.

4- Soft reset.

I tweaked Tylwith M2D V1 alittle bit reskined it and photo tab is fully working, htc album WVGA is also working , Audio manager is reskined to be WVGA and somehow it works but not fully.

known bugs :-

Album menu icon DOES display properly and the phototab works perfectly.

Weather town selection is misaligned but still you can pick up yout city.

In the setting to change the home tab wallpaper doesn't work.

Audio Manager is still non functioning.

If you wanna scroll in the photo tab do it in the left side of the screen just alittle bit left to the midline.

Instructions :-

1- You must uninstall any version of m2d or tf3d before.

2- Remove all today plugin.

3- Install the cab

4- Soft reset

5- It's better if you choose the Diamond theme provided.

6- To get your album displayed in the phototab click album then open your folder that contains your images then set it as your favourite album then have fun :)

Audio manage launches normally but afterthen it crashes ,, it seems as a minor problem ,, I think it can be fixed easily BUT the actual problem is the dispaly

the whole M2d is displayed only in the right upper quarter of the screen :)

M2D V2 is far better than M3D 1.3 but who can WVGAize it :)

M2D V 1.1 is obselete and for me it's a wasting of time to modify it :)

Just try this one , I'm sure you'll like it .

Sector's Themes is also LOVABLE ....

Well , I think you won't have to hard reset your O2 if M2D V2 crashes , just uninstall it :)

BTW, While I was searching & googling for M2D for our O2 I found a guy who did create WVGA theme for QVGA M2D V1.1 , I tried it at that time and it worked but unfortionately it was the original plain htc theme that looked aweful and ugly.

I tried it again with this manilla and guess what it worked and the dispaly now was full screen but yet I'm still stucked with that bad looking ugly theme .

Here is the link ,, try copying it to \windows directory and see what it gives , may be it would help !

Sense 2.1 would be awesome to have on our O2 but that's only if it's actually working !!!!

I tried the cab in the provided link and the original vga port but both didn't work , I think it's a matter of patching to get it work but who have such experience to do it. I do believe some silent surfers of this forum have huge potential to even recode manila to work on our O2 . Anyhow, any positive input would really help so please people just enlighten us with your experiences.

I noticed that I900 users are soooooooooooo active.

M2D V2 is working but improperly , WVGA theme provided is also helped to some extent , we almost at the end of the tunnel ,,, right Tylwith :)

BTW, Although I have zero knowledge in programming field but I guess I made a significant progress in editing htc home setting xml file. Guess what ?!

now full dispaly is working but still small slider icons and misplacement of the clock and some other things !!! BTW, Are you working in the same theme with M2D v2 cab or the other one provided , cuz the original one is fabulous but the wvga is incredibly ugly .

Well I'll wait for yours but in the meanwhile I'll put some devotion in fixing these issues . Yeah I need sometime of no medical thinking at all .

beta 1.4 is usable

This cab is a mix of 4 different rip of m2d v1.

normally the modification to do to v2 are the same but i am testing first on v1 then i will apply the change on v2.

i have used topaz com manager instead of the opal one.

i have included the diamond black theme.

i have deactivated all tabs that were provoking graphic glitches(internet, map)

the audio tab doesn't work so it's been deactivated.

the problem with v2 is the folowing

normally you can use the same home setting than for v1

the same graphic than v1

the true problem are the animation

we need to scale the graphic up to wvga resolution

and maybe directly modify the animation script.

Yeah really , but if you're talking about the flipping animation of the clock , well this can be ignored at least for this moment.

The default theme works I had 1 crash till now while trying to change the wallpaper and noticed that scrolling to the tabs will mixup the graphics a bit but will look ok again in the homescreen itself but for the rest keep up the good work :) . It's responses faster then TouchFlo3D!

the crash when you try to change the wallpaper is know. it was listed in the known bugs. for the mixed graphic did you add a tab ?

it's also in the known bug if you had more tab you will have graphic glitches.

i will try to fix it later....

Well V2 faster and it displays weather in the home widget also I like the program widget where you can see the name under each app icon . I'm using a lot of skyscape e-books which all have the same icon !!!!

Great Work what you have done so far , I wish I could help more . let's hope we can attract more people to work with us.

I have a problem using this on my i920 - it installs, but when it loads, it takes up a tiny corner of the screen. I can't get it to display properly at all.
