How to overclock O2? [SOLVED]

I've been looking around for how to overclock this phone, as I know people have done it, I just don't know how. It'd be great if somebody could provide a step-by-step guide to add to the tweaks sticky. I've heard it makes the phone go MUCH faster(especially in fpsece) and you can get it to 1ghz easy.

the highest i've ever gotten to was 950mhz. above that and the phone would freeze. check this thread for s3clock and installation instructions:

although overclocking definitely speeds up the phone, some programs like Opera 10b2 may unexpectedly crash. It hasn't crashed fpsece though :) .

Thank you! Fpsece runs so much faster now. It brought my average fps in breath of fire IV from 25 to 58! Also: my cpu frequency when overclocked is 1040mhz(APLL 520), and the MPLL is 250mhz(500)

if i were you, i would be careful with overclocking MPLL (main frequency), as it also may control the lcd and usb hardware. Overclocking it may come with unexpected consequences. I only overclock APLL (arm frequency) so the overclock only affects the processor.

I'll be the test subject then for the MPLL, as i have the i920, and I have verizons insurance plan.

You are supposed to be working on a ROM dump, not melting your phone :)

i still dun get it...when clicking on S3Clock.exe, it ust crashed and some microsoft "Dont send" "send" thingy appeared. can anyone help?

Might as well make a guide. :)

1. Download GPIOGFX and the framework here: http://tanguy.ath.cx/?q=GPIOgfx

2. Install framework

3. Install GPIOGFX

4. Open GPIOGFX

5. Goto the config tab on the bottom.

6. There you are, APLL controls the main speed. Like was said earlier in the thread, it's recommended to only mess with APLL.

Anyways overclocking on this thing is pretty safe, as it doesn't raise the voltage I think. If anyone thinks otherwise please post in this thread.

Also: I can't melt my phone and dump the rom at the same time? :)

try turning FPU enabler on first.

also, have you set up the registry entries for s3clock yet?

i believe they are located in HKCU/software/s3clock

sorry, but you're probably not going to get anyone to post it here besides the original author. Maybe you could try to connect to his site through a proxy server? The link still works for me.

Hi i'd like to add something. my experience with overclocking the omnia 2 is that if you use FPU enabler that you only use it if your running a contant program like fpsece i've found that when i overclock it and run FPU it will have a difficult time coming out of suspend. however when i do them seperatley they work fine.

Also steel reign, is it stable at 520 APLL? mine always locks up after while. :(

ill like to try this overclocking to see how fast it drains battery, i used to do this with the i900 it sped things up very nicely..but raped battery :(
