Yes, I managed to get it working. It is a backup software that will backup both application and user data. Also, it works for every app there is. :) Modaco thread on Titanium Backup.

WARNING: You should make a nandroid backup first; just in case you make a mistake.

Here are the steps.

1. Make sure your A1 has been rooted.

If not, click here for Superboot by Paul.

2. Install busybox. Follow this guide.

3. Install Titanium Backup from the Market.

4. Open Titanium Backup.

5. Allow superuser access.

6. If you get an error here, it's probably because you didn't install Busybox right.

7. Now you should be able to do a batch backup of everything.

So now you should be able to flash a ROM and restore everything.

Steps to restore on a new ROM.

1. Repeat step 1 above, superboot your A1.

2. Install Busybox again.

3. Download Titanium Backup

4. Do a batch restore.

5. Android should mention about installing software from non-Market sources. Hit settings and allow Unknown sources.

Note: I have tested it while I was upgrading to the 1.008 ROM from 1.004.

i've just got a question,

i installed titanium from the market, backed up all my apps and formatted and restored another ROM ( to test the app )

when i reinstalled titanium and restored the apps, it installed all the apps no problem, but it didn't remark in market that i installed the application again and hence no updates?

Any idea... ?
