Turn Off Push Email Anyone ?

I have configired active sync so that it syncs with my exchange server which is all well and good, unfortunately I cannot seem to find anyway of actually turning the push part off so that it only syncs when i want it to. Normally on all the other phones I have had i.e. Kaiser / Touch Pro2 etc you just go into the comm manager and there is an option to turn this off. In the Toshiba comm manager there is no such option.

I have gone through this phone to try and find away of doing this but to no avail, I have installed SPB Mobile shell 3.5 so this is now my today screen instead of the normal orange theme.

Anybody know where the option is ? or perhaps a comm manager that will show this up? I installed the latest comm manager but still the "push" option was not there.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Just in case anyone else comes across this, i managed to solve this by installing the Touch-IT Blackstone CommManager.cab from the following post over at xda

Link

Once installed you can then see the "Push" connection. Unfortunately it does not work with the wifi button but i never use that anyway so its good for me.

If anyone does find this option without this cab please post here as I have searched for this everywhere on the phone to no avail.

Cheers

You don't need any other than system tools to change this very easy, here is a short guide:

-> Phone must not be connected to PC by USB or else!

-> Click on Active Sync (Start -> Programs -> Active Sync)

-> Got to MenuĀ

-> Got to "Timeplan" (German Zeitplan)

-> Simply set both values (Hauptzeit / Nebenzeit) to "Manual" (scroll to the top to find it)

-> acknowledge with ok and thats all folks!

  • 2 weeks later...

That looks quite interesting as if it can be scheduled to then disconnect at a certain time (truly disconnect from I mean) then this would be very handy.

Thanks for the link.
