Do you get a good signal? poor or non existant signal can cause more battery usage.

Hola yokadance,

I used to have the very same problem with my Omnia 2 battery. I solved the problem by hard resetting the phone a couple of times and that did the trick: dont“ask me why but it worked!

Now the battery lasts for about 3 days (2 if heavily used).

Hope this works for you as well!

Saludos!

You don't have to turn off backlighting completely. If you do so, you can hardly read the screeen when in daylight.

However, you can set the backlighting to AUTO. (It is set to fixed by default, so you have to change it manually)

when you set the backlighting to AUTO, at least it will not light it up so bright when the surrounding environment is dark, and will save the battery life.
