Development suggestion: Ignore wifi router SSID

My neighbour has an open wifi point which I suspect is restricted by MAC address rather than by any other means as I'm not able to connect to it but my phone keeps nagging me to join it whenever I lose connection with my own router. There are also certain access points that require payment such as BTOpenzone in the UK.

I wonder if it would be possible to add these access points to an ignore list and therefore not be notified of them except when actively searching for them.
