memory issue with 6.5.3

i just flashed my phone for the first time. and i chose Khuanchai's 28008. before flashing i was using the stock bell rom, i8000L..J something. and i never had the auto close problem, never. but now if i have core player playing a video in the back ground, while surfing with Opera 10 i get about 10-15mb. and core player always close. its werid because on task manager opera 10 taks about 3mb. however, if i have it open and check memory with nothing else open, im down about 30mb.

I'm pretty sure with the stock rom, opera takes significantly less than 30mb. with the new rom im noticing programs taking alot more memory than what shows in task manager. anyone know why this is happening? is it a problem with 6.5.3?

other than the memory problem, im loving 6.5.3 really hope a offical version would come out soon. or a chinese version =p

Even when I had the stock ROM on (6.5 from new), Opera would always cause other apps to close, so I don't think the issue is related to the ROM you've flashed :)

I have an i8000L from bell and had the same issue before i flashed any roms.

Opera is just too heavy (i my expericance up to 40 mb) and with our limited ram and auto closing at 20mb its hard to run more then 1 app with it.

I switched to IE mobile as it has a much smaller footprint.
