Guest mmstudio Posted January 18, 2010 Report Posted January 18, 2010 Hi guys I have a issue with latest s2u2 on my omnia 2 i8000 - I dont know if its normal s2u2 behaviour or not. WHen I lock phone with s2u2 everything is working as expected except - when incoming call while phone locked by s2u2 than normal samsung homepage with incoming call appear ( with touch on) so in meantime I pulling ringing phone from pocket I run several programs by accidental touching screen. When I end call or reject call phone turns back to locked state by s2u2. I would welcome if s2u2 remains locked while incoming call ( ringing) So I can safely pull phone from pocket, unlock manually by slide s2u2 unlock slide and than accept or reject call. Is this possible ? ps. I dont use s2u2 caller id function..... Many thanks for answers Dave
Guest yshaikh01 Posted January 18, 2010 Report Posted January 18, 2010 (edited) When I put my I8000 near my ear the screen switches off automatically. There is an option in S2U2 to trun screnn off when a call is in progress, although you should not need that as I8000 has a proximity sensor. EDIT, sorry I think I misunderstood you, you are not using the incoming call screen, that may be your problem as while your incoming caller is displayed the screen is active. Try the S2U2 incoming call screen?? Edited January 18, 2010 by yshaikh01
Guest mmstudio Posted January 18, 2010 Report Posted January 18, 2010 (edited) Thanks for answer... Yes I dont use s2u2 caller id feature ( because than I cant use samsung phone options like videocall, record call etc...)but Im fine with that. My problem is that when I have an incoming call than s2u2 immediately unlock itself and samsung homemenu with native caller is shown and touch screen is fully active so when I pulling phone from my pocet I always touch and start accidentaly something. I need when I have incoming call to s2u2 remains locked so I can safely pull phone from my pocket, unlock it manually by sliding s2u2 unlock slider and THAN accept or reject call by samsung native dialer... Guest Shiryu Posted January 18, 2010 Report Posted January 18, 2010 Try the S2U2 incoming call screen??The most probably it won't work properly. I've tried it myself and I couldn't answer incoming call :/ Switched to PhoneEx. Shareware, but works like charm :) You can also turn on Samsung dialer. There are sliders you need.

Guest tacchan23 Posted January 18, 2010 Report Posted January 18, 2010 Maybe you can try the more powerfull TouchLockPro http://www.modaco.com/content/i8000-verizo...or-and-gsensor/ (never tested it becouse I'm happy with S2U2 caller id or phone ex, but for "locking" it looks like a better application)
Guest mmstudio Posted January 18, 2010 Report Posted January 18, 2010 thanks for suggestions Tacchan, I know touchlockpro but problem is that it dont have exceptions list like s2u2 ( list of programs that phone will be not locked when running..like Navigation etc..). I cant believe that there is not solution for my case. Can somebody who use omnia 2 with s2u2 tell me what you do if s2u2 locked phone ( with callid disabled) will start ringing in your pocket ? How you get your phone from pocket when s2u2 unlock itself when incoming call ?
Guest tacchan23 Posted January 18, 2010 Report Posted January 18, 2010 I think that's the "normal" behaviour of S2U2... so you should ask for a "fix/new feature" on the s2u2 thread at xda I guess
Guest Fire86 Posted January 19, 2010 Report Posted January 19, 2010 Where's the problem with using CallerID/Slide2Answer? At least this would fix your unlock problem for the moment.
Guest babyjosef17 Posted January 19, 2010 Report Posted January 19, 2010 Hi All, since we are in the topic of S2u2 problem. I wanted to ask I made a mistake again of installing S2u2. As I forgot, once S2u2 is installed SMS auto-rotation is disabled. Even after you uninstall s2u2, the auto-rotation for sms will still not work. All other programs are OK. Funny thing is, once you soft reset, then immediately go to sms. the auto-rotate is working. But once you lock the phone, or not even lock(because I have my lock screen disabled) once the phones goes to stanby, after that sms auto rotate stops working. I am thinking there is probably a registry setting that was changed when s2u2 was installed to disabled the auto-rotate for sms. and may be also related to why it only happens once your phone goes on standby(blank screen)

Your problem actually was due to the immature, bugs or incompatible of S2U2 program, not i8000. so think you should have name the topic title as, "S2U2 usage problem".
Guest mmstudio Posted January 19, 2010 Report Posted January 19, 2010 newforce: When I posted thread I did not know whwre is the problem...if in my phone, if in s2u2, if it normal behaviour or not .... babyjosef: strange...I didnt know about that problem. Are you sure its caused by s2u2 ? Did you found an solution how this can be fixed ? Fire86: When I enable callerid, when I have incoming calls I have s2u2 callerid screen but also part od system dialer shown in front of it - I cant press anything - system hangs and I have to reset. I read in some post this is a common problem on omnia 2 with s2u2 installed, but also saw some post that claims thatthey have not problem - but usually those people have flashed rom with modaco roms. to all: does you guys know about another software like s2u2 with ability to put some programs to exception list like s2u2 have and with ability to lock phone even with incoming call ? SImply some similar software with above options but which works better with omnia 2 ...
Guest Fire86 Posted January 19, 2010 Report Posted January 19, 2010 @babyjosef: I cannot confirm this. SMS Autorotation is working fine for me. @mmstudio: Ok, I see. I also experienced this issue, but I was able to fix it recently. Check this out and report back if it helped.

Guest NewForce Posted January 19, 2010 Report Posted January 19, 2010 newforce: When I posted thread I did not know whwre is the problem...if in my phone, if in s2u2, if it normal behaviour or not .... Ok noted. Sorry I did not use S2U2 anymore (since last Jan09 during my Omnia-1 days) as found it drained much battery power to my liking. To me any programs that drain much battery power, I will not installed them on any of my phones, even if they look gorgeous. Think bro tacchan23 has got the answer for you. :)

The first time I hard reset my device to remove the problem. In any case I can live without the auto rotation now. I'm on stock rom IJ9 Edited January 20, 2010 by babyjosef17
