Issue Upgrading Phone to Madoco

Hi Guys,

Just got my Hero today and im having issue getting Madoco onto it. I had to use Flashrec first of all then rebooted the device into the android system recovery utility and im getting this error when I try to run the update.zip

Ok I managed to get to the point where I apply the update.zip using the recovery utility and I got the error

E:Cant open /cache/recovery/command

Install from sdcard

Finding update package...

Opening update package...

Verifying update package...

E:No signature (762 files)

E:Verification failed

Installation aborted

Any ideas? HELP!

Getting pretty desperate here, can anyone help?

First, check your downloaded file or redownload it and then re flash this ROM again.

If it don't work, you try create Gold card on your sd card before flash ROM.

Hi Mrtran,

I tried the latest beta from Paul as well as an older version 2.9.

Does this look right to you? I just want to make sure im going about this the right way.

I've also re-formatted the the SD card etc, but ive not tried the Gold process yet.

I also renames the update files to update.zip, I assume thats ok?

Did everything from scratch and it went through fine this time. Must have done something wrong, thanks for your help.
