Hunt for a silicone case

but i would prefer to see a picture in a shop where i buy it, with my pulse - and not with a sonic ericson (or whatever it is...)

I got a 99p Black Swirl silicone iphone case off eBay - with a minor mod for camera it's pretty much OK and will do the business for now.

Black Swirl case 99p inc free delivery. Will post a pic later. I must also add that this is not me selling and I have no connection - just wanted a case and read on this thread that the iPhone cases fit (almost exactly the same size as Pulse) and at 99p it was worth a punt.

It's not the most aesthetically pleasing case and a proper Pulse version would be better but it's not at all bad and would hopefully save it in a fall.

As you can see from the pics a slighter tighter fit or some sort of bond would hold the sides of the case to the side of the phone a little better (but it's almost there) and there perhaps wouldn't be a hole at the bottom. You can see the mod on the back for camera and the extra holes for iPhone ports. The top raised button on the left coincides with the Pulse on/off so that's good and other buttons can be pressed with a little fiddling through the case. The top usb/headphone cover is a little more fiddly to open.

Might it make sense to fit the cover the other way up, so that the iphone bottom hole coincides with the pulse's headphone flap?

Obviously you'd need to put in another camera hole. I would have thought putting holes in the back is less likely to harm the integrity of the case than trying to cut sections out of the edging for buttons and covers.

Just a thought, it may be less practical than it looks from those pics. Also it might be easier to make look good with a non-textured spiral-free case.

There are holes top and bottom - just that the case affects the way the usb/headphone cover swings - needs lifting slightly - no biggie as I say.

With the case the correct way up the top raised button does match up with the Pulse power switch which is good.

The spiral effect is minimal and looks fairly decent.

For 99p it's hardly worth discussing to be honest. Well recommended.

Did you need to cut holes for the microphone on the corner there? Also the loudspeaker seems to be blocked by the case?

I've cut nothing apart from extending the camera hole. Other holes are iPhone specific and already there. I may cut a hole for the speaker. Forgot about mic but not had any issues with people hearing me.
