Guest Nablet Posted January 20, 2010 Report Posted January 20, 2010 I have had Internet enabled on my O2 but my problem is as follows. My operator doesn't have either a phone number nor username and password. So far I have found it impossible to connect to the internet without throwing the phone out the window (which I would rather not try). Is there a way to circumvent the stupid methods which Secany's Orange ROM's require because I am paying for a service I can't use, right now. Also I doubt my operator is going to give me any of the info because it just doesn't exist. GPRS Is just a service enabled on the phone, which I can use on the other phones in the house but not on my O2. Anyone have an idea what I can do? I'd be really greatful if this got solved.
Guest chris_dom Posted January 20, 2010 Report Posted January 20, 2010 Same problem here. I am using the o2 pay as you go with free texts and web. I have configured the mobile settings (correctly I think) and my phone seems to be connected the the 3g network. But If i try to use the internet or msn etc etc I get a connection error. Please help :)
Guest Nablet Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 (edited) The difference between us is that I have no settings for my browser, it should automatically detect that I have internet but it doesn't because this isn't a phone but a (Portable)PC, that's what makes it hard for me. If I put my simcard in one of the other (cheap rubbish) phones we have in the house and press the internet button it works instantly but because the O2 runs Windows I need to set it up.
