HELP SPB Mobile Shell

I was wondering if there are ways to hack the SPB shell.

I like the samsung call log and text messing system and love there contacts app. But yesterday i installed SPB and now when i click contacts it launches there app how can it hack it so that it launches the samsung stuff instead. I would like to do that for email, phone(contacts/call log) etc the samsung interface is good i like it. I know i can just put a icon like i did with touch player but thats a extra step and useless because i will have double icons and will not tell me if i missed call etc. I was able to get default text message icon to open the samsung UI by setting it to 3D view only if i could do that with call log and contacts that would be great, as i like how the SPB icon shows a number and goes red when you get a new text/call which i could just like to load the samsung UI instead of the default SPB.

Plus the contacts button would love it if there is a hack to get that to open samsung UI instead of SPB which i don't like ask much.

Right now i have the default SPB icon and then the samsung icon on top of it, only reason for that is so i can see the number of missed calls and when i click it it open the samsung UI. This works well but i have 2 icons showing up in one place.

Have a look here, it is a rather large mod pack for mobile shell, I use the extra light version as the other is just too big and a lot of it's content is superfluous. It allows you to place an invisible widget/link over the top of another so that you ca for example get the spb sms icon with an invisible link over it to open the samsung sms application or indeed anything at all. Some people moan about having trouble un-installing it but I've never had a problem with it. Try it:)

thats great, the lite version will just allow me to install invisible icons? coz thats all i need and want i don't wanna install to much stuff that i don't need.

Will this also allow me to add a invisible icon on top of the contacts on the main UI so i can launch the samsung contacts instead?

coz the current widgets will not overlap on top of the big contact button.

It will allow you to do that, but this version is for 3.5.3 and bear in mind that it will also change the layout somewhat, like the carousel and menu icons will be moved up to the very top left and right corners and be made invisible and you will be able to place any widgets you like at the very bottom of your screen. It really is an improvement. Have a look through the thread, mskip is very accommodating and I'm pretty sure he would be able to help you out with just the invisible links. :)

i had this installed and do not like it, when spb and mskip my free ram on a cold boot was 40 while just stock free ram is 80. so it using way to much ram

Sorry to hear you did not like it. Was that ram usage with the extra light pack? I have around 58mb after soft reset, which I can just about cope with.

no i just googled it at the time could not find this thread. I have been reflashing my firmware for the past 3 days to see which one i like. End up using the stock secany JA1 and removing the widgetsplus.

As of now with a cold boot with nothing on it and nothing loading not even wm interface i have about 75mb free, reinstalling spb and mskip will report back.

Note: when i when i first installed mskip i noticed the right button on the origional spb no longer work and whenever i tried to use it it open contacts. dose that happen to you?

also i noticed that the bottom ui goes away you the settings the carsol now when i flip upwards with the other deskop it shows there but not on the main.

i see what you mean, now how can i change it back so the menu comes back on the bottom it was not like this with the full version.

been playing with it and yes i do like it WAY BETTER THEN THE DEFAULT SBP, thanks. SBP+Mskip is to heavy for my liking still. Wonder if there are better ui out there

This is great till i find a better one or once sences 2.1 is finished
