Guest babyjosef17 Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 I was wondering if anyone knows a good software for this. Freeware if there is any. I tried the trial for Mobiola. Seems to be very good but the webcam quality seems to be not very good. as was expecting it to be good as our phone has a 5MP camera. the programs on the suggestion topic is not free, the other one is almost similar to qik Hoping there is a freeware for this that can turn our omnia into webcam that can be used with skype msn Yahoo and the likes. Thanks!

Thanks! I don't know of any freeware program and I doubt there are, at least for all phones. Afaik Mobiola's is the one that works on most phones. I've tried it and it's ok. It is however intended as a lower quality webcam.
Guest akusokuzan Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 I'm not sure if the phone takes its videos using the 5mp camera. Most likely, it's capturing the video in VGA quality, or something lower than the 5, hence the crappy picture.

Thanks! Have you tried http://qik.com/ ? Works on the i920 and the app is free. They advertise on your stream though. It can also be linked to a livestream.com account if you want to add video effects for a something like a television show.
Guest babyjosef17 Posted January 25, 2010 Report Posted January 25, 2010 Yes I am currently using qik right now. It's good and the quality is good although there is delay but tolerable.
