Hi to all, I have a problem (maybe) with my Omnia 2. In particular I have two phones, one is the Omnia 2 and and the other is an HTC Touch VIVA.

Both are served by the same GSM operator (Wind in Italy), now I have discovered that the VIVA is much better from the point of view of the sound quality during a phone call, and this seems to me quite strange, since the Touch VIVA in certainly a lower end phone with respect to the Omnia 2.

What is your experience with the sound quality of the Omnia 2 during a call?

Moreover, does the phone part of the rom influence this sound quality? I have flashed the IL2 rom (IL5 only for the PDA part), and I'm worrying if upgrading to the last version could help to reduce the problem.

Thanks

Normally the Omnia 2 would have better sound quality as HTC is renowned for it's poor reception quality. Most people at my office use various HTC's and I have better signal quality and call quality. I suggest you try the latest Samsung ROM (JA5, 25th of January) from Secany, as I have no problems with that.

And yes, the phone part handles the call stuff among other things.

I'm back to Italy and using Wind too. Signal strenght is not so good, but sound quality during call is top grade.
