MAIN STORAGE-Storage Memory issue

Verizon i920 Omnia II--

I have been running into pop-up errors... "Storage Memory is critically low..." It's the MAIN STORAGE which is 186.84mb MAX?

I have 7.5GB+ of free space in "MY STORAGE" and about 14GB of free space in my "STORAGE CARD" now why in the hell is the main storage limited to <200mb?

I do not understand why this would be the case on a PHONE which has 8gb of built-in memory...this is the TYPE OF STUPIDITY that makes me want to seek any other brand other than SAMSUNG for my next phone... this makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE WHATSOEVER!!!

Anyone have the ability/knowledge to explain this and maybe have a way to increase the 200mb limit to 1gb or something?

What about Program memory? How much of that do you have left?

Try installing your software and move your data to "My Storage" instead of "Main Storage"

Hi Omnia II user,

First thing i suspect you save all the CAB file inside My Device instead of My Storage or My Storage Card. Your samsung Omnia II window mobile have 3 storage 1) Main Memory/my device =448mb 2) My Storage = 8GB and My Storage Card =16Gb. Everything try save to My Storage or My Storage Card

try to resolve your problem with master reset , press phone dialer and dial *2767*3855#

just ignore about 5 minutes, everything go back like from factory, Good luck

Program RAM as it says... I have 140.69 total of which (110mb is USED) and (30mb is FREE)

did a reboot of phone or simple reset, power off and on and now I have 60mb free Program Ram...

no errors with these current 30mb and 60mb of free space but I had to remove some programs to get just that space...

I don't understand why the 'SMALL' amount of space for this stuff do they expect you to not add anything?

Also I think some APPS require to be in main storage area to function properly!

Hi Omnia II user,

If you give up with official ROM, you can try Lite version ROM from KC tan. Are you heard about CleanRAM 193? This programme can replace Softreset, you can search inside Xda Developer. Good Luck
